Year 13 Chemistry is where everything comes together — and where a lot of students start to feel the pressure. The content is harder, the exam questions are more layered, and AQA expects students to link topics across the whole A Level, not just memorise separate chapters.

Taught by Safa, an experienced Chemistry tutor who achieved an A* in A Level Chemistry herself, this course gives students the kind of guidance that actually makes a difference. Safa knows what it takes to succeed because she has done it herself — and she has spent years helping students understand difficult topics, improve their exam technique, and build the confidence needed for top grades.

She is currently studying Pharmacy at King’s College London, a university ranked 7th in Europe for Pharmacy & Pharmacology in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026. That means students are learning from someone who not only understands the A Level specification, but is also applying Chemistry at degree level every day.

The course covers the key AQA Year 13 topics, including thermodynamics, rate equations, equilibrium, electrode potentials, acids and bases, further organic chemistry, aromatic chemistry, carbonyl compounds, carboxylic acids and derivatives, amines, polymers, amino acids, proteins, DNA, organic synthesis, NMR, chromatography, transition metals and reactions of ions in aqueous solution.

But this is not just content teaching. Students will be shown how to think through unfamiliar questions, handle multi-step calculations, structure written answers properly, and avoid the common mistakes that cost marks. Lessons are clear, focused and exam-driven, with the right balance of explanation, practice and feedback.

By the end of the course, students should feel more organised, more confident, and far more prepared to sit their final AQA Chemistry exams.
